Adele Finally Confirms New Album; 25 & Releases Video for "Hello"
Finally! My prayers have been answered! I have been waiting for new music from Adele since the release of her last album, 21, all the way back in 2011.
21 was such an amazing album, only reaffirming Adele's place as one of the greatest artists of our time. Globally, 21 was the biggest selling musical release for both 2011 and 2012, and helped revitalize failing sales of the UK and US music industry. By July 2014, the album had sold 30 million copies worldwide. It is one of the top 100 best-selling albums in the United States.
Yesterday the soulful singer posted a long statement on her Twitter page confirming her upcoming album, 25’s launch and explaining the thought process behind her latest release. “My last record was a breakup record, and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record,” she wrote. The singer, who had a baby in 2012, also apologized for taking so long to come out with new music, writing, “You know, life happened.”
It's okay Adele, I'll accept that excuse this time only because I love you so much, you just gotta promise not to have us waiting another 4 years for new music.
25 is set to debut on November 20! You can preorder it now on iTunes.
