Cathriona White, Ex-Girlfriend of Jim Carrey Commits Suicide

UPDATE: Jim Carrey sued over girlfriend's drug overdose

After being discovered in her Los Angeles home on Monday, it is believed that 28-year-old, Cathriona White died of a drug overdose. 

Originally from Ireland, Ms.White was the on-again-off-again girlfriend of actor  and comedian Jim Carrey. The two started dating in late 2012, breaking up in March 2013 and eventually reuniting in May of this year, before separating yet again for a second time five days ago. 

White reportedly left a suicide note which was found near her body by friends.

In her final tweet that was posted five days ago which read: ‘Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest. [Peace and love] to you all.’ she may have alluded to the apparent suicide:

White had a number of celebrity friends one in which included, Empire star Grace Gealey who posted a heartfelt tribute to the Irish makeup artist. 

Jim Carrey has yet to make a comment on the his ex's recent death.

In one of our shoots, one of the outfits we had planned wasn't working out. She literally took the floral shirt off of her back and gave it to me (the center right photo). Thank you Cat, for being the kind of person to give someone the shirt off your back. Your art, beauty and heart lives on. ❤️
