That'll Teach Em: Steph Curry and the Warriors Head to the Finals After Finishing off OKC
In the words of Fab: "A major comeback from a minor setback; It's all about the get back"
During last night's nail biting game seven, the Golden State Warriors did what many thought was impossible, knocking the Oklahoma City Thunder out of the Finals and securing a spot of their own after a 3-1 deficit, making them 10th team out of 233 to achieve such a feat.
During the game, Steph Curry showed us just why he was named MVP, scoring 36 points (13 of 24 shooting overall, seven of 12 from three-point range), eight assists and five rebounds. That's not to be overshadowed by his "Splash Brother", Klay Thompson who whose Game 6 performance brought them to this point- had six three-pointers in a 21-point outing. As a team, the Warriors hit 17 of 37 from three-point range.
They return to the NBA Finals for a rematch with another crowd favorite, Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, who lost the 2015 title in six games as Golden State captured its first championship in 40 years.
Game 1 is Thursday night in Oakland.
