At. Long. Last. A$AP
A friend recently put me up on A$AP Rocky's latest album , At.Long.Last.A$AP,and I can admit that at first I wasn't a fan just because I normally don't gravitate towards any of A$AP Mob's music but a couple tracks from this album definitely caught my attention leaving me wanting more. One song in particular is Lord Pretty Flacko Joyde 2. The track sounds like early A$AP taking us back to 2011 with his Live.Love.A$AP mix tape with chopped, fast and slowed down flow patterns. Another track that caught my attention was Electric Body featuring Schoolboy Q. The track is a favorite of mines mainly because I'm a fan of School Boy Q and the entire track itself is cool and upbeat basically something to vibe to. This is A$AP's second studio album and his third solo music compilation. In the middle of creating music, the self-proclaimed "fashion-killa" took a break and modeled for high-end designers like Ferragamo and made his acting debut in the Sundance film Dope, which drops this summer!
Throughout the whole album A$AP stays true to his arrogant style of rapping where he boasts about his money, his manhood and his women, particularly models*clears throat* (his ex Chanel Iman possibly). Another thing to point out is the cover art on this album. If you look closely, you can see A$AP Rocky removing what looks like a mask of one of the founders of A$AP Mob and A.L.L.A executive producer, the late A$AP Yams. A$AP Yams died earlier this year in January after an apparent accidental drug overdose, which also delayed the release of the album.
At.Long.Last.A$AP has a number of notable artists featured on it including, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, M.I.A, Future and many more. You can listen to one of my fave tracks off of the album below!
