Serena Williams Takes Wimbledon
After losing last year's Wimbledon match Serena Williams said: "I know I can do better."
Not only did she do better, Ms. Williams dominated!
Williams defeated Spain's Garbine Muguruza 6-4, 6-4 in southwest London to complete the "Serena Slam", winning four straight majors, for the second time in her career.
"I can't believe I'm standing here with another Serena Slam," said Williams in her interview with USA Today. "I'm having so much fun out here. I've never dreamt that I would still be out here playing and winning Wimbledon."
She's Not Done Yet. In September at the U.S. Open she'll seek to become the first tennis player, male or female, to win all four majors in one year since Steffi Graf did back 1988.
In the words of my girl Alicia Keys, "She's just a girl and she's on fire"!
