Actress, Zendaya is set to play Ronettes lead singer, Ronnie Spector in a biopic about the Rock & Roll icon.

The untitled movie will reportedly explore Spector’s childhood in Spanish Harlem, her experience forming the Grammy-winning group with her sister and cousin and her abusive marriage to record producer Phil Spector, which almost ended her career. Phil signed the group and helped craft their 1963 hit "Be My Baby."

The project has yet to announce a release date, but stay tuned, I feel this may be a good one!
