Riley Curry Steals the Show!

Riley Curry, the 2-year-old daughter of Warriors' player Stephen Curry, has again taken center stage at her daddy's press conference, this time with a little performance of her own.

Wednesday May, 27- She first started the night by celebrating on the court after her father and the Golden-State Warriors beat the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Finals. She then kept up the momentum stealing the mic from her dad singing Drake's hook from Big Sean's Blessings at the post-game conference, but of course she didn't stop there! Riley then got up off her daddy's lap and got herself all twisted up in a curtain in typical toddler fashion. Her entire performance last night was too cute and has made her an instant household name.

She even caught the attention of Drake who posted a clip of her singing his verse on his Instagram page. (Check it out below!)

Yes that is all. Power. It needs no dramatic introduction; this show has enough of it! 

From creator Courtney Kemp Agboh and executive producer Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Power takes us through the life of James "Ghost" St. Patrick, a loving family man who runs a night club and also doubles as an adulterous drug king pin. The story line introduces us to  a number of characters including Ghost's wife, "Tasha" (Naturi Naughton), his mistress and first love, Angela Valdes (Lela Loren), his driver/ body guard, Shawn (Sinqua Walls),his best friend and business partner Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) and also his mentor/turned enemy Kanan (50 Cent). 

Season two picks up right where the show left us last: Ghost is moving backwards, getting deeper into the drug game in an effort to save his nightclub which is his ticket to a legitimate future. In the show's true fashion, obstacles are thrown Ghost's way, including his marital issues with Tasha, who herself attempts to seduce Shawn into sleeping with her, his mistress Angela is an Assistant US Attorney who is investigating his drug ring, his best friend Tommy is stuck in the drug world and wants to bring Ghost in deeper and let's not forget Kanan, his former mentor who is now released from prison and seeking revenge. If this season is anything like the last, I'm sure we're in for a lot of sex, drugs , deceit and violence. Basically what keeps us coming back!

The Summer Obsession: Beyonce's Summer Playlist

If you took the plunge and downloaded Tidal then you're probably just as obsessed as I am.  

Tidal has just released a playlist that was created by Beyonce herself titled , Summer Party: Drop it For the Summer and it is filled with some of her favorite party hits like Donk by Soulja Boy, Cha Cha Slide by Mr. C The Slide Man and many more. The playlist is fun and upbeat and would make for a perfect mix at any summertime function.

Tidal is Jay Z's music streaming service that gives you somewhat of an exclusive backstage pass to all of the latest things in music. Jay Z and a lot of other top named artists came together in this project and signed a declaration to basically state that they vow to make the way musicians get paid for their work better. For example, an artist may have his or her music streamed 20 million times and will only get paid around $4,000 for it. People burn and copy music illegally everyday , essentially "burning" their favorite artists out of money. Jay Z said he's not trying to bring more money to the rich, he's trying to protect a craft and makes the point that people already pay for Spotify, why not pay for Tidal. At Tidal, you get optimum sound quality and you're getting your music "straight from the horse's mouth". No middle man. Straight from the connect. (You get my drift).

Indictment in Baltimore

All six officers involved in the April death of Freddie Gray were indicted by a grand jury last Thursday. According to Baltimore State's Attorney, Marilyn Mosby, the officers who are currently free on bail, will face arraignment on July 2.

The Back Story-Freddie Gray was a 25-year-old African American man who died in the hospital after sustaining spinal cord injuries during an arrest in Baltimore on April 12. Gray was handcuffed face down and was not secured in the police wagon that transported him to jail. According to Mosby, it is currently unclear if Gray sustained his fatal injuries enroute or at the holding cell.  What is clear is that the officers in question are left to answer all the questions surrounding this case that has gained national attention, both negative and positive. 

Gray's death sparked a string of angry and violent protests, prompting a city-wide state of emergency and curfew in Baltimore. The protests were the work of people tired of the recent surge of blatant police brutality and violence in African American communities across the country.

A breakdown of the specific charges can be seen below:

• Goodson — In addition to murder, he was charged with manslaughter, second-degree assault, gross negligence vehicular manslaughter, criminal negligence and misconduct in office. One count of reckless endangerment was added.

• Lt. Brian W. Rice, the bike patrol officer who first chased Gray — Manslaughter, second-degree assault, two counts of misconduct in office and reckless endangerment. Second-degree assault and false imprisonment charges were dropped.

• Officer William Porter, — Manslaughter, second-degree assault, misconduct in office and reckless endangerment, a new charge.

• Sgt. Alicia D. White, one of three officers who found Gray unresponsive on the floor of the police wagon — Manslaughter, second-degree assault, misconduct in office and reckless endangerment, a new charge.

• Officer Garrett E. Miller, who chased Gray — Second-degree assault, two counts of misconduct in office and reckless endangerment. Charges of second-degree assault and false imprisonment were dropped.

• Officer Edward M. Nero was charged with second-degree assault, two counts of misconduct in office and reckless endangerment. Second-degree assault and false imprisonment charges were dropped.

Tidal Releases Feeling Myself Music Video

Beyhive and Barbz unite! 

Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj nearly broke the internet with this one! The official video for the hit Feeling Myself was released earlier today on Jay-Z's music sharing app, Tidal, and I must say it was everything and more! The chemistry between Beyoncé  and Nicki felt natural and exciting bringing new energy to an already popular song.

The video was first released exclusively on Tidal as a way of gaining more subscribers, but of course the indestructible internet wasn't letting Tidal subscribers get all the fun. Some how, some way the video was taken out of the forbidden kingdom of Jay-Z's music sharing app and made its way into the homes of all the common folks who weren't subscribed. Either way, the app gained a lot of attention as well the artists behind it.

Back to the real reason we're here-The high energy video takes place in a desert where Bey, Nicki and a host of extras ride around in convertibles, float in kiddie pools, eat burgers and jam out at Coachella. 

Overall the video was young, fun and will leave you "Feelin yourself"!

Rapper Chinx Shot and Killed

Lionel 'Chinx' Pickens, 31 was killed this past Sunday in an apparent drive-by in the Briarwood section of Queens, New York. While sitting in his Porsche, suspects drove up to the Queens born rapper, firing over eight shots, hitting him and his friend Antar Alziadi, 27. Pickens was shot in the torso, while Aliziadi sustained gunshot wounds to his back. Both were taken to the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where Chinx died and Aliziadi sustained a punctured lung, but otherwise listed in stable condition. 

Chinx aka Chinx Drugz was most commonly known as a member of French Montana's Coke Boyz. Chinx also had some solo music ventures, releasing seven of his own mixtapes, including Cocaine Riot 2 and Cocaine Riot 3. He's also being considered for the XXL 2015 Freshman Class.

 Chinx leaves behind his wife of eight years and three children, which includes two girls and a one boy.

Nepal Ravaged by Earthqaukes

On April 28, 2015 , Nepal was hit by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake and just 2 weeks later they were struck by yet another powerful quake measuring in at 7.3 on the Richter scale. The impact of the second earthquake was so violent that neighboring India even experienced fatalities. In total, over 8,000 (CNN) people were killed and thousands were left  injured and displaced.

The residents of Nepal are now left to deal with the devastating aftermath, including aftershocks, which continue to send tremors throughout the region terrifying citizens. 

U.S. Involvement- During ongoing rescue and relief efforts , a U.S. Marine Corps helicopter went missing after radioing in fuel trouble on Tuesday evening following the second earthquake  and hasn't been seen or heard from since. It is suspected that the aircraft carrying six Americans and two Nepalese soldiers went down while delivering aid and supplies to Dolakham east of Kathmandu.Nepal.

Fabolous and Emily B Celebrate Baby Number Two!

"A little Man is on the way!"

On Mother's Day, rapper Fabolous and long time on and off girlfriend Emily B celebrated the couple's second pregnancy together. 

The baby bash was decked out in black, white and gold. Everything from invitations to the guests could be seen in the synchronized color scheme.

Mommy-to-be, Emily donned a custom gold body hugging, floor length dress, while daddy Fab wore a black and white buttoned up top with white pants. The baby  bash was put together by party curator Elizabeth Kelly, who was also in attendance. The fabulously designed cakes and treats were all by BCakeNY.

There defintely wasn't a shortage of celeb guests at the rooftop shower. The list included Adrienne Bailon, Amar'e Stoudimire, Angie Martinez and many more.

Hell Yea Hillary! : The 2016 Race to the Whitehouse

It's been nearly a month since Hillary Clinton announced her candidacy for the upcoming 2016 Presidential Election and she has already taken the title as "the most popular candidate."

Numbers don't lie- Clinton is leading the pack when matched up with the other presidential hopefuls. She leads Jeb Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio, both from Florida, 49 percent to 43 percent, Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, 50-40. And she leads Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, 47-44.

With an impressive resume that includes acting as the former First Lady to democrat favorite Bill Clinton, former U.S. senator from New York, and most recently, former secretary of state under President Barack Obama it's no wonder that she currently holds 76 percent of the Democratic vote .

Creating (Her)story- Ms. Clinton's race to the White House is getting a lot of my media attention not only because of her track record , but most importantly because if elected she will be the first female president in United States history.

Side bar- Now, I may be a little biased because I am a woman, but to see a woman in the White House would be glorious and I believe it would show the female race that they too are a part of the American Dream!

Princess Kate & Prince William Welcome Baby Charlotte!

She's finally here! Baby Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born in London on May 2.2015 at St. Mary's Hospital. She weighed a healthy 8lbs. 3oz.

Fourth in line to the royal throne, Princess Charlotte is the second baby to Britain's Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. Their first child, George was born almost 2 years ago on July 1, 2013.

The couple was said to be a little more private and reserved with this new little one,keeping more of a low profile. The couple's new family home, Anmer Hall , is also a bit more secluded. The home which is located on the countryside in Norfolk is intended to provide the children with a more "normal" upbringing, out of the public's watchful eye. Which we all know is next to impossible!

MAY PAC WEEKEND: CELEBRITIES IN VEGAS

The stars were definitely out this past weekend for the long awaited Mayweather v. Pacquiao fight. Although the fight was a bit boring, the celebrities were anything but! Leading the star-studded pack was Mr. Foxx himself who sang the national anthem, which was criticized for being a bit off key, but we don't mind, it's Jamie Foxx! The lineup also included everyone from Tom Brady to Beyoncé and even the Burger King.

With only about 1,000 tickets available to the general public,  it's no wonder why the audience was mainly comprised of celebrities and other high rollers. The outrageous cost of the tickets may also have something to do with the exclusive spectators prices started from $1,500 to $40,000!

French Montana: Off The Rip

French Montana's new single Off The Rip has been making some waves recently, not only because of its melodic beat, but because it has some fans wondering if this single is hinting that his sophomore album, Mac & Cheese: The Album will be in fact dropping soon. What was originally intended to be the fourth in a series mix tapes, Mac & Cheese 4, has actually turned into a full studio compilation, which was set to be released back in December 2014. In an interview with Rolling Stone, French said "I'm going back to the essence on this album, “We’re giving the fans that grew up on me what they want... when we made the other music, it was just to be a little different and not do the same thing over." Off The Rip features some of the members of the original Coke boys, including N.O.R.E and Chinx. Listen to the track below!

As part of his weekly freestyle series, Fab releases a new freestyle over a classic track every Friday night. The tracks all have that classic mix-tape feel with their straight A capella and metaphoric rap-style. The authentic feel may have something to do with Fab's reunion/collaboration with DJ Clue, who helped him get his big break back in 98' after free styling on Clue's Monday Night Mixtape Show. There is where Fab signed to the budding Desert Storm Record label, making the rest history. With so many hot tracks released so far, it's kinda hard for girl to choose just one, but I have to say my favorite has to be the Been Around the World (Remix) freestyle.The entire track is classic Fab, filled with smart-a$$, quick witted metaphors. He also makes quite a few references to Drake's latest album, If You're Reading This it’s Too Late, which is another favorite of mine. You can listen below!

Put ANOTHER Ring on It! : Tina Knowles Marries Richard Lawson

On Sunday, Beyonce's mama, Tina Knowles tied the knot with actor boyfriend Richard Lawson. For those who aren't familiar with the actor you guys might remember him as playing the ex-husband, Jack, in Stella Got Her Groove Back (1998) and his role on All My Children.

The guest list extended to about 300 people, including  daughters Beyonce and Solange, Jay-Z and of course baby Blue. The wedding party donned all white, where Mrs. Knowles-Lawson wore a stunning white dress with gold belt by Romona Keveza while her husband wore a tailored white tux. 

Wedding fever has been running rampant throughout the Knowles clan, daughter Solange got married just six months ago to video director husband Alan Ferguson. Mama Knowles not only copied Solange's all-white wedding party attire , this is also her second marriage.( Solange was married from 2004-2008 to high school sweetheart Daniel Smith).  Tina Knowles divorced husband, Mathew Knowles in December 2011 after 31 years of marriage due to Mathew's infidelity.
