Effortless Style: TheKnewClassic
Y'all Knew! -Radiya Burton aka TheKnewClassic is the youngest & flyest doing it! This little lady is a self-proclaimed stylist, blogger and personal shopper. She has unbelievable style, grace and individuality and she exemplifies it all one SLAY at a time! I mean let's be clear, almost anyone today can throw together "looks" with outfit-making apps like Polyvore, but when these "looks" are being executed day-to-day, and in real life, that's an entire different story!
I had the chance to pick the budding-style icon's brain about some of her fashion choices and what inspired her to put together some of the most unique looks I've seen in a long time.
Radiya took me through a breakdown of each of the above featured looks, detailing each outfit and what inspired her to wear each fabulous look! Check her out below (but try not to fall in love)
Top and pants: Denim & Supply, Shoes: Zara, Clutch: BCBG, Glasses: Urban Outfitters.
Inspiration:
"I wore this outfit to go to a meeting. I wanted to be sexy, yet fun giving them a vibe that represents a comfortable yet stylish feel."
MC Hammer pants and top: Rachel Roy Shoes: Jordan 1’s, Handbag: H&M.
Inspiration:
"I wanted to express who I truly am in the inside which is free, naturist and risky.. I wore my natural curly hair and did my most vulnerable pose to express my passion for what it is that I do."
Shorts:American Apparel, Polka-dot scarf: H&M, Shoes:Urban Outfitters, Socks: Free People, Top: Impulse.
Inspiration:
"I wore this to mix-and-match colors and acknowledge the spring time, I believe that neon green and bright pinks are happy colors; they’re noticeable and they’re also demanding colors. So in order to demand my self-respect and self-happiness I wore what made me happy."
Dress: Rachel Roy, Polka-dot top: Jessica Simpson, Shoes: ALDO. The outfit is accessorized with a silver clutch/cross body & H&M polka dot scarf topped off with a diamond tiara.
Inspiration:
"I wasn’t sure if I wanted to channel my inner Minnie Mouse, my inner princess or my wild personality so I just went ahead and wore it and it ended up coming out better than I thought it would. I never dress according to trend I dress according to my personality and feelings. So with this look I gave 20% of my personality."
Shoes: DSW, Skirt: Rachel Roy, Leather top: Denim & Supply, Handbag:Joan Shepp, Glasses:Urban Outfitters.
Inspiration:
"I wore this because I wanted to dominate. I wanted to feel studious and shielded. My top was leather and my skirt was shiny. Those two pieces alone go hand-in hand. I did the shoe to add some edge and seriousness to the outfit."
Top: Nasty Gal, Pants: BCBG, Handbag: Joan Shepp, Shoes: Steve Madden.
Inspiration:
"I wore this to show how powerful I am and to show that black does not always mean boring. I’m a girl of color and in order for me to do black it has to be something hot! I love lace it shows that you aren’t afraid so I went with the lace pant and the top to match just to show off some skin."
Dress: Free People, Clutch: BCBG, Shoes: Zara & all pulled together with a messy middle-part hairstyle.
Inspiration:
"Messy hair goes with everything and it makes anything sexy! Also I was going to a major party that night and all I knew is that I wanted to steal the show. So I took the dress that goes with my nude shoes and wore it out."
Dress: Free People, Shoes: BCBG, Glasses: Urban Outfitters. Accessorized with a funky clutch.
Inspiration:
"I wore this because I wanted to be as bare as possible! I’m infatuated with nudes and flowers because nude symbolizes being naked and flowers show growth and to express those two things I wore this dress and added the yellow shoes just to give a balance for the spring."
Lingerie, see-through top: H&M, Suit pants: Rachel Roy, Shoes: Zara, Handbag: Guess, Glasses Urban Outfitters.
Inspiration:
"I wore this to express my inner sexy and my free willingness to take it where most won’t because they’re afraid to be bold. My top was lingerie that I bought for my ex-boyfriend but I never got a chance to wear it so to make him feel what I felt when he broke my heart I work it this way lol !"
In a League of Her Own- The 21-year-old fashionista makes Philly look good with her versatility and unique style choices, standing out in a sea of clones and followers (no shade to Philly, I still got love for ya). But seriously she is one to watch out for. When asked where she sees herself in the next five years "Miss Classic" told me that she wanted to be a mentor, stylist, personal shopper and model for some of her favorite celebs. With her amazing personality and flawless sense of style I can see that coming to pass in no time!
