Zendaya Lands Her First Vogue Cover and it's Everything!
Talk about "Shaking it Up"!
As I was casually scrolling through my Instagram timeline this morning I was pleasantly surprised to see Zendaya gracing the cover of Vogue Magazine! I stopped immediately to 'investigate" and sure enough my eyes were correct, the gorgeous cover was posted on Vogue Magazine's official Instagram account and it was everything I dreamed of!
The gorgeous actress/designer graced the cover in a feather-illusion frock that is as timeless as she is. As with all of her looks throughout the spread, Zendaya manages to transform, giving each outfit its own unique flair.
Besides her stunning photo shoot, the K.C. Undercover star got personal when she talked about Disney career, where discussed race and asserting herself:
“I got in a room with the heads of Disney Channel,” Zendaya says, recounting a meeting that took place four years ago, when she was sixteen. By this time she had already completed her first Disney show, Shake It Up, in which she costarred as an aspiring dancer alongside Bella Thorne. For her to sign on to K.C. Undercover, she decided, Disney would need to meet demands. First they would need to make her a producer. Next she objected to the show’s title, which at the time was Super Awesome Katy. “I was like, ‘The title is whack. That’s gonna change.’ ” She then rejected her character’s name (“Do I look like a Katy to you?”) and insisted that the show feature a family of color.
