Solange's Unique Style

In honor of her 29th Birthday, I decided to pay homage to Solange Knowles' unique style! From her natural do's to her fearless fashion choices, Solange redefines what it means to have style! 

The recently married mother of one definitely has gone through a style metamorphosis since making her way on the scene back in 2001 as a video girl for teen artists, Bow-Wow and Lil Romeo.

6 months to the date....but really....7 years to the date:)

During her solo career in 2008, Solange had a more mainstream style, where she rocked long weaves that she spent upwards of $40,000 to $50,000 a year to maintain.  In 2009, she decided to change not only her outward style but her whole way of living in general. During an interview with Oprah, Solange described starting her natural hair journey as setting herself "free."

"It's a whole situation, you are basically submitting yourself to your hair... everything becomes a schedule.'

Fast-forward to 2015, Solange is creating new music that better reflects the person she is today and has a look that can't be put in a box.
