Back at it again! I recently got the chance to attend an event called "Back to Business", which does exactly what it says by offering business owners and entrepreneurs necessary and tangible tools to help either launch his or her own business or rejuvenate it! Powered by Moguls in Media™, "Back to Business" is the umbrella for a series of workshops, which is spearheaded by Moguls in Media™ founder, Darcel Laurie. The workshops are each centered around one ambitious professional who has garnered different experiences and accomplishments in his or her line of work. This individual helps lead the conversation in helping attendees grow or supplement their business by offering his or her own experiences and advice. The workshop is an open forum, allowing everyone to take part in the discussion, also lending itself to some beneficial networking.

Founder, Darcel Laurie knows all about networking as she herself has gotten the chance to interview some of today's movers and shakers because of networking with the "right people". Some of the people she has interviewed include, attorney and political commentator, Angela Rye; actor and singer, Tyrese Gibson ; American ballet dancer, Misty Copeland, and many more. Laurie has also been featured on a host of different tv and radio shows including, VH1's "Lala's Full Court Life", Good Day Philadelphia, and WDAS 105.3. Her line of work just doesn't stop there, Laurie is also an entrepreneur, mentor, producer, and educator. She started Moguls in Media back in 2016, so it's fairly new, but it has already garnered some amazing success and has a ton of big things happening down its pipeline including, a tour, a Mogul t-shirt line, as well as a new book!

"Your current situation is not your final destination." I got the chance to catch Darcel Laurie in her element at her first workshop in the "Back to Business" series. The workshop was centered around getting inspired and motivated to tackle your business head on. Attendees were all able to get amazing tips and advice from Philly's own, Nehemiah Davis. Davis is an author, philanthropist, and entrepreneur who founded the Nehemiah Davis Foundation and is also the founder of the "Circle of Greatness Academy".

Davis gave a ton of powerful gems that will definitely prove useful once put into action. He discussed building your mindset up, removing limits from your life, and taking account of who you have around you. He also stressed "being the example" in your circle, you should be the one who sets the bar for your friends. He also stressed the three important things you can't get back: time, an opportunity, and your words. He closed his discussion with the "secret" to success: Serving. Putting others before yourself will not only help them, but it will also help you in return, because it always comes back tenfold.
