Luxury Meets Streetwear: Supreme Collabs with Louis Vuitton

Earlier this month you may recall the streetwear and high fashion communities buzzing around the  news of a long-rumored collaboration between Supreme x Louis Vuitton. Well today, those rumors were put to bed after pictures of the collab were leaked. Of course that's no surprise since we're in the era of "Leaks & Hacks". I'm not complaining tho, I'm all about "first-looks" and "sneak peaks" and plus the pieces look crazy! 

LV is set to formally unveil the collaboration at its men’s fall runway show in Paris later today. The collection includes a variety of Bandanas, gloves, belts, and  an extensive bag and purse range make up just some of the accessories, while you can also spot some dope loafers in one of the pics. Most items are adorned with both the box logo and LV’s iconic monogram pattern.

Beyoncé Interviews Solange For The New Issue Of Interview Magazine

In the February issue of Interview mag, Beyoncé interviews her younger sister, Solange and the two discuss childhood inspirations, the similarities between their dad and Master P, and the funniest texts they’ve received from their mother.

Beyoncé who calls herself Solange's "biggest fan", starts out the interview, highlighting Solange's tenacity: "I remember thinking, "My little sister is going to be something super special." Solange, in response, remembers being inspired by her older sister as well as her mother's determination. Looking back on these factors in her development, Solange tells Beyoncé , was "why I wanted you to interview me for this piece. Because the album really feels like storytelling for us all and our family and our lineage."

I'm always on the hunt for new skin-care products that can help me achieve that elusive clear, pore-less, baby soft skin. I know I'm not alone when it comes to wanting to get more bang for my buck with it comes to anything I buy, and that includes my MAKEUP purchases! At the launch party of her new beauty line Flirt Cosmetics, E! sat down with the maven herself giving potential buyers an inside look at the collection's most innovative product yet, "Flashes".

"With the Flashes lash applicator, you can put some over here, or some on the bottom, or just kind of layer it to make it bigger. It clicks up, you put a little glue and you can build it up really big or do a light lash for the daytime."

For me personally, applying lashes is a headache and I just always find myself giving up after sweating off my makeup when struggling to put them off. I can't tell you how much money and  lashes I have wasted after failing to put them on correctly.  SO seeing this handy little gadget defintely restores my MUA dreams...

Kevin Durant Discusses "Betrayals" and Why He Moved to The Warriors in RollingStone

In the new November issue of RollingStone, Kevin Durant sat down with writer, Paul Solotaroff to discuss his childhood and unexpected new move to The Golden State Warriors.

During the interview, Durant gives plenty of reasons why he decided to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Bay Area. He talks about the Warriors’ culture, having more fun and a great chance at winning his first championship, among other things.

But suprisingly, Durant says he “damn sure wasn’t going there if they’d won.” That of course is referring to the Warriors failing to win their second consecutive championship by historically blowing a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Based on some of Durant’s other answers in this interview, it sure seems like he was finished in Oklahoma City even if Golden State had won it all:

“For nine years, he refused to speak a word against that team – he loved those guys and that city,” says his mom, Wanda Durant, who’s been his best friend and go-to since he started his b-ball journey at the age of eight. “But this summer he said, ‘Mama, I can’t do it anymore. They’re not in this thing with me, we’re not together like we were – I feel like I need something different.’ ”

The “betrayals” referenced by Solotaroff in the interview have to do with the Thunder failing to add a “proven third option” after trading away James Harden, a deal that’s been considered controversial. Durant expressed his frustration in the Thunder not getting a strong veteran ( Ray Allen in Miami and Kevin Love in Cleveland are listed as examples) and instead just getting younger. That could be in reference to new players like Enes Kanter and Dion Waiters who were recently picked up.

Offline, Jackson stars in Disney Channel's Jessie spin-off Bunk'd, where her character Zuri goes to camp, but she has aspirations beyond acting. "Maybe directing, producing. That would be fun," Jackson says, also noting a desire to get into the fashion world. "I've always had a passion for fashion. I kind of like edgy clothes. Kanye West Only Wants "Multiracial" Models in His NYFW Show

Over the weekend, Kanye West caused a social-media frenzy when he tweeted the casting call for his upcoming Yeezy Season 4 show which is actually taking place today during this year's New York Fashion Week. The Fade singer stated that he was looking for "multiracial women only" in his model call. Understandably, people felt some type of way.

Twitter of course was set ablaze with users angered by the ambiguous term "multiracial." What does multiracial even mean? Aren't we all, to some degree, multiracial? Doesn't a term, which we can only assume is akin to "mixed race," exclude those with darker or lighter skin tones? Was West calling for no white or Black people, just those somewhere in-between? And how, pray tell, did West plan to assess models' ethnic mix? (Refinery29)

Rise Up: Zulaikha Patel And Other South African Girls Protest Against Racist Hair Policies

(CNN) A video posted on Instagram went viral, showing 13-year-old Zulaikha Patel and fellow schoolmates in a tense standoff with private security guards. The students can be heard yelling, with their hands in the air: "take us all, they're going to arrest us."

They threatened to arrest an unarmed group of black girls who were walking against the racial injustices of the school. #stopracismatpretoriagirlshigh

Students say they spoke out after they were told by teachers that their hair is "exotic" and that their Afros needed to be tamed.

"The issue of my hair has been a thing that's followed me my entire life, even in Primary I was told my hair is not natural, it's exotic, my Afro was not wanted or anything like that and then the issue followed me to High School" Patel told CNN.

Pretoria Girls' Code of Conduct does not specifically mention Afros, but it does lay out rules for general appearance, including prescribing that all styles "should be conservative, neat and in keeping with the school uniform."

Pretoria Girls' High, which was founded in 1902, was all white during apartheid, but since 1990, it has been integrated to all races. Many South Africans feel that the incident illustrates ongoing racial tension and expressed their complaints on social media of how shocking it was that such issues still exist 22 years into a democracy

In a recent statement, Gauteng Department of Education said that, after a visit to the school by the province's education minister, Panyaza Lesufi, it has been decided that, "The Code of Conduct of the schools must be reviewed and the clause dealing with hairstyles should be suspended in the meantime."

Pretoria Girls' High told CNN it cannot comment on the issue as a direct order from the Gauteng Department of Education, but in a statement on the school website, it said the school's governing body had held a successful meeting with Lesufi and that it would work closely with the education department to "resolve the issues which were raised."

Creating A Movement. The protest at Pretoria Girls' High sparked protests at other schools in the country. Students of Lawson Brown High School in the Eastern Cape marched against racism and cultural discrimination, and, on Tuesday, parents of students who attend St. Michael's School for Girls in Bloemfontein accompanied their children to address the issues they have with hair regulations there.

CNN reached out to both Lawson Brown High School and St. Michael's. Lawson declined to comment, but St. Michael's spokesman, Brian Sweetlove, said: "With regards to the hair policy, the whole policy is under review and we'll have to see what changes need to be made. Some parents were happy enough with the broadness of the hair policy but some have caused us to believe that changes need to be made." (CNN)

Dripping in Cartier diamonds flown all the way from the UK to NY by five members from the Cartier team, Rihanna dominates the September cover of W Magazine! In the issue, the Bad Gal rocks an over the top variety of custom made looks from big name designers, a number of which the singer has collabroated with, including, PUMA, Manolo Blahnik and Christian Dior just to name a few. 

W's creative and fashion director, Edward Enninful dishes on how he came up of with the concept of what will undeniably go down as one of the most iconic covers in 2016! 

"The thing about Rihanna is that she never wants to repeat something she’s done, and she did a video where she wore lots of camouflage – so I knew I didn’t want to do a military story. Instead, I wanted to do something that was set in the future world. Beckham sat down with GQ editor Devin Gordon to dish on the recent photos that emerged from Drake's party of him and Khloe Kardashian, amongst other things.

"Whoever was there taking the pictures inside of a private party, inside of a private-er, private-er area of the house—we were in the kitchen of the house, where there was only like 15 people. It's just kind of like...'dating'?" he said. "I just met this person. This is maybe the second conversation we've had."

OBJ then went on to suggest that the photos may have affected a relationship he was in at the time.

"Things go like that," he said, "and then some other girl that I may have been talking to her about it, and now it's more drama, more commotion in my life. And I'm sitting here trying to explain my situation to somebody, and it's really not even a situation."

OBJ is clearly finding out that fame isn't always all it's cracked up to be.

Elsewhere in the interview, the Pro Bowl wide receiver also touched on his now-epic rivalry with Josh Norman that started in Week 15 of the 2015-16 NFL season after the two wrestled and fought on the field in the middle of a Panthers/Giants game. The outspoken players have continued their war of words on social media throughout the offseason:

Born Again Virgin. I'm probably one of the last people on Earth who has yet to break their ColourPop virginty. Fancy Meeting You Here.I was potentially doomed for makeup hell (Drama Queen) until I was introduced to ColourPop Cosmetics! A friend of mine had on this amazing matte lip and highlight duo from the line and it was love at first sight! (Insert heart-eye emoji). Since then I've been "researching" the different  pallettes of eyeshadows, lippies and highlights the budding brand has to offer! I've googled countless Youtube stars and stalked a gaggle of Instagram-Makeup gurus who promote and hail ColourPop as the holy grail, all in an effort to virtually test the products before I made the CP Cosmetics Plunge...

So after countless hours of "research", I came up with some of my fave picks from the brand that in my opinion make a great fit for all my melanin mami's out there! Below you will find a few of my top lip, eye and highlight picks!

Vloggers like Coffee Break With Dani and Kathleen Lights were early adopters who talked about the brand on their channels. It worked. ColourPop now boasts 1.6 million followers on its Instagram account and gets daily mentions by vloggers and makeup enthusiasts from all over the country!

Gabby Douglas x Teen Vogue

Miss Douglas is serving up some Black Girl Magic on the August cover of Teen Vogue Magazine!

On her way to win the Gold at this year's 2016 Summer Olympics, Gabby took the time out to shoot this amazing feature story with the teen mag where she also discussed her family, career and reaching her fullest potential. She also dished a bit about her reality show on Oxygen, Douglas Family Gold. The show which just aired its season finale, follows Douglas and her family on their way to Rio de Janeiro, this year's host for the Olympics.

By 16, Gabby accomplished at her first Olympic Games what no American gymnast had ever done before: She won both the coveted individual all-around title and led her team (dubbed the Fierce Five) to a gold medal — and also happens to be the first woman of color in the sport to do so.

“It was just insane knowing that I had spent my whole life dreaming about this one specific goal and achieved it,” Gabby recalls.
